I’m getting married in August and bought this dress in February only to try it on and realize I’d been measuring with my wishful thinking measuring tape, I needed the next size up. I held on to the dress until know thinking I might magically lose 20 lbs and be able to fit into it, but that’s just not going to happen and I need it out of my closet.
It’s brand new and clean. The skirt is wrinkled because it was sent in a box, but it’s nothing a little steam couldn’t get rid of. I tried it on once, then put it on a hanger and buried it in the back of my closet. It’s a really cute and easily customizable dress (I got a corset style lacing put into the back of the size up one I bought and it looks awesome). It’s versatile enough that you could wear it for a prom or something too.
I bought it from a website called Light in the Box, which is kind of like Overstock. Here’s a link to the listing so you can read some of the specifics. It’s a size 4, but wedding dress sizes are weird so it will fit a size 0-2 in regular clothing sizes. There are two layers of tulle and an underskirt attached to the dress, so it poofs out slightly. It’s not bright white, but rather a slight off-white ivory color. It also has these two little hooks in it that hook behind you like a bra and help keep the dress up - pretty cool, I didn’t realize they were in there until I got it and tried it on.
It’s listed at $80 but it came out to just over $120 with shipping. If I can get $120 for it, I’ll be excited, but I’m willing to work with you on the price.
